A quiet nothing.
I find myself gasping for air, trying to rise to the top of this sea but the waves swish me deeper under and curl around my body; telling me to stay down, it’s where I belong. I watch the light trail through the water to my eyes but know I have no hope in reaching it. Some days it is easier to accept than other days. Today is a hard day.
